One of the bigger challenges our technicians face each week are devices that have been liquid damaged, in particular phones.  One of the most frequently asked questions by our customer's is, 'What Do I Do If My Phone Gets Liquid Damage?'.  Below are just a few tips on what to do and what not to do.

Don't panic - While liquid damage is serious, it is not always fatal, and can often be possible to save your phone.

Turn it off - It's important to turn off your phone once it has been liquid damaged, this can help reduce further damage and increase the chance of it being repaired.  

Don't try to charge it - In a number cases once a phone is liquid damaged it will turn off, while it might be tempting to try and charge it resist the urge.  Charging a phone that is already liquid damaged can cause further damage to it.

Rice, does it really help? - While it can help dry out some of the liquid in your phone overall it does not really help.
