It's more common than you might think...

Apple first unveiled the MacBook way back in 2006 and since then the demand for them has grown.  A common problem our technicians see with certain models of MacBook's is with the Graphics Processing Unit (GPU), they can be sensitive to heat which can cause them to fail.

Our technicians carry out multiple Apple repairs each week, including MacBook Pro GPU reflows.  Essentially a GPU reflow is re-establishing connection between the GPU and the logic board.  We received a MacBook Pro from a customer in Tipperary, they mentioned seeing flashing lines on the screen and wanted to know the cause.  Our technicians carried out diagnostics on the customer's device and found that a MacBook Pro GPU reflow was necessary.  Once receiving approval from the customer our technicians are able to carry out a MacBook Pro GPU reflow in a matter of hours.  Once our technicians completed the MacBook Pro GPU reflow the customer was then provided with a 3-month warranty.

If you have a MacBook Pro in need of a GPU reflow repair or another Apple device simply complete a short Book My Repair form to get your device collected anywhere in the country, or alternatively call into one of our two locations in Cork!
